Services and prices

The prices listed here include a 0% VAT rate, in other words the net and gross values are the same (Hungarian laws allow for this in certain cases, such as mine). All prices are in HUF, I can't accept any other currency when paid in cash (not even euros) at the moment. Although it may change in the future when I'll have enough customers from other countries. In that case, I may be able to accept EUR, then USD, and maybe even GBP when the time is ready. Methods of payment include cash and bank transfer, with more options added soon (e.g. PayPal, Barion, or OTP Simple).

I plan on offering more services in the future (e.g. woodwind repair, maybe even selling my own products), but it's not a promise, only my intention, and the exact date of this expansion is unclear. If all goes well, I may be able to start it around 2025 or 2026 in multiple steps. Flutes first (only metal ones), then clarinets (also wooden flutes and piccolos), saxophones, oboes and finally bassoons.

All prices shown are only applicable for instruments of average condition, if it's in a much worse state than usual, then the repair can cost more by a significant amount, or a lot less in the case of a well-maintained instrument, so the prices listed serve only for giving you an idea about an approximate cost, they are not set in stone. Especially true for overhauls.

If said instrument potentially poses some kind of health risk, an additional +20 000 HUF will be charged at minimum, but it can cost even more if I have to call an expert (if I see a wasp nest in a case for example). Luckily, these situations are extremely rare, but I thought it would be better to make this clear in order to avoid any kind of misunderstanding in the future.

After every repair (even the simplest ones) an invoice will be given which will include the name and address (and VAT number for businesses) of the customer. If someone refuses to give the necessary information for the invoice (for any reason), then the repair will be declined, no matter how simple it is.

In order to ensure the safety of the instruments, all projects will get an identification number later, which will be given when I accept the job, and I'll also send it via SMS/E-mail when I'll notify the customer that the repair is done. Before I give the instrument back, this number will be checked. This may seem unnecessary and inconvenient, but a stolen instrument would be much worse. I know of a certain instant when someone wanted to receive the customer's instrument (without their knowledge or permission) and in essence 'buying' an instrument for the price of a repair. I want to prevent these kind of occurrences with this method, or at least make them less likely. This will only take effect later, when I'll have too many projects ongoing at a time to remember every owner's face. Now, I can remember each and every one of them yet, and can realize if someone never set foot in my shop before, but this obviously won't be the case forever.

For this method to work, at least one way of contact must be given (phone number, e-mail, or even Messenger, though i wouldn't recommend it), also I'd recommend giving at least an other one as well (not obligatory, if the customer doesn't want to, but it could be beneficial if they would have some problems with their phones around that time) and an e-mail address is necessary if the owner prefers to get the invoice in digital form (which will also be the default option in the entire EU soon by law), if it is not provided, only a printed version can be given. I would also kindly ask everyone to notify me, if the instrument will be received by some other trusted person. In case of a lost identification number (due to a lost or faulty phone for example), I'll send it again to an other e-mail address/phone number/etc. they gave me so the identification still can be done.

I cannot stress enough though, that the secondary contact can NOT be provided at a later time, because it would make this system useless and it could be easily bypassed.

Minor repairs

These minor repairs take very little time and are really affordable by anyone.

Service

A service job mainly provides a functional repair. The goal is maintenance and a good condition for the instrument.

Overhaul

Factory condition or better if possible. Gives better results than a service, but not always justified and significantly more expensive.
